Inspired by the shape of the buoy rather than using it as something to\u00a0 be painted, I find the critter or person waiting to emerge. There is no one specific\u00a0 way an inspiration comes &#8211;\u00a0 it could be by merging my humor, talents, interests\u00a0 and hobbies; or by following the lead of one of my other projects by wondering\u00a0 what it would be like in a different medium; or having the medium take the lead<\/p>\n<p>and see where it wants to go.\u00a0 \u201cPuppy\u201d is faithful, loyal, doesn\u2019t bark and doesn\u2019t know any tricks, but clearly\u00a0 understands the command \u201cSTAY\u201d. This puppy doesn\u2019t have to be fed or walked,\u00a0 and will never chew on your slippers.\u00a0 And with that ear-to-ear grin, the puppy\u00a0 will always cheer you up and is bound to evoke a smile even from the most\u00a0 serious-minded person.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Statement I transform genuine Maine-made wooden lobster buoys into characters and\u00a0 critters.
