\nThis \u201cPine Cone\u201d ink painting\/ sumi-e (made of ash & pigment & sap) for \u201cArborescence\u201d reminds me of rebirth, re-seeding, new needles, new nests for owls, xmas fi, and a more natural relationship to lightning & re-forestation in the SF Mts., the most electrical place on earth due to the iron motherlode beneath, in Northern Arizona.
\nThe splotch-blot at the bottom represents the Tibetan\/Hopi meme for maya, illusion, virtuality, climate change denial and\/or \u201cSipapu\u201d, the Myth of the Trap Door Spider (Anasazi), whose surface entry point leads down the Ladder of the Ancestors to the Sanctuary center of Mother Earth, the Protector-of-us-All.
