It is a rebirth each year. It makes me very happy. I go outside each day to tend to my growing beauties. It gives me such a sense of peace and joy. I see the signs of climate change everywhere. I only hope that we humans can continue to enjoy the beauty of nature and living things all around us. As soon as I heard about this show I started to think about what I was going to paint for it. Last summer I came across an empty chair under the tree outside the Art Lab where I teach painting. It is a night scene and I loved how it looked. I took a picture of it because I knew that I would paint it at some point. It is perfect for Arborescence.I came across the scene of two houses among the trees on a winding road. I thought it so appealing that I had to paint it.
