A message to and\/or from the beyond, the mystic.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Since the early 70\u2019s, I have been part of an international exchange\/ correspondence network of conceptual mail artists, testing the limits of the various postal systems around the globe: poetry, politics, visual puns,<br \/>\npure humor, photography, cartoons, memes, found objects, paper images- what have you!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Visual Aids \u201cPostcards from the Edge\u201d 2021 (Virtual) Fundraiser Show (info@visualaids.org \/ deadline 11\/23\/20) just invited me to submit to their exhibit to fund HIV+ sufferers ( last year $46k sent to world healers).<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In addition to the pleasure of writing physically\/creating micro art on paper to my mishpookah network, even in this pixel-frazzled age of not so splendid isolation, I have also found common cause participating in recent masked &amp; distanced postal protests &amp; advocacy efforts to protect our right to vote by mail in a watershed zeitgeist election season!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Awhile back, I assembled a collage of old\/new handmade postcards: sand dollar, tin mesh of godson blonde locks, rusted metal, Einstein snip licking a vintage stamp on a green dream field, a zen fly a la suzuki roshi,<br \/>\na vibrating womb envelope, a runover splat of rubberized ochre brain algae infused paint roadkill &amp; an homage to letter carriers (mercurial garuda messengers) clinging to stop signs to accomplish their sacred missions of delivering the goods ( lifesaving medicine, essential funds, love letters, tools, &amp; gifts from the void)!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>God Bless Them All! as honorable ordinary everyday heroes in these not so ephemeral plague ridden times!!!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Statement: Like the dimensions of the human hand, heart, head or oblong credit plastic, the post card represents the golden section ( divine proportion, rule of thirds, 1.618 or phi).
