With every new painting or drawing these influences manifest themselves with a personality all their own. I don\u2019t attempt to adhere to one style or another because the artwork itself will take me down that road. I will often begin a painting with a loose map of an idea, only to be detoured to a totally different destination. I like using bright, vibrant colors and avoid using mass tones when possible, preferring to mix and tube my own custom mixes. When someone views my work, I want them to retain a latent image that sticks with them.
