Inspiration comes from environmental elements and responses to political and social justice issues.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>I combine fiber and other materials responsively and seek traditional and non-traditional intersections that are expressive and intuitive. I admire and am inspired by the work of Magdalena Abakanowicz, SheilaHicks, and Agnes Martin.<br \/>\nSeparation Anxiety commemorates failed US policy that separated children from families at the border in 2018. Emergency blankets are deconstructed and crocheted into a cage-like hanging that includes religious and cultural ephemera.
